Asan Woori Bank WooriWON wins its 14th WKBL title Monday after its victory against Busan BNK SUM. The win secured WooriWON’s position at the top of the league with five games remaining in the season.
WooriWON has 21 wins and four defeats. Yongin Samsung Life Blue Minx is in second place with six games behind. That means WooriWON will still be the champions even if it loses its last five games.
Asan Woori Bank added to its titles to remain the winningest club in the WKBL with 14 champions. On the other hand, Incheon Shinhan Bank S-Birds and Blue Minx are in second place with six WKBL titles.
WooriWON Wins WKBL Title
In Monday’s crucial win, WooriWON was led by Kim Dan-bi’s 14 points and Park Ji-hyun’s 27 points. Kim joined the team on a free transfer from the S-Birds last year before the 2022-23 season.
