When playing in a casino, it would be impossible to not stop at a blackjack table. And if you are on an online casino, blackjack is one of the most popular online betting games as well. Blackjack is also called 21, since the goal of the game is to get a set of cards that will total 21. Or at least, to get as high as 21 without going over. This is one of our casino tutorials where we will show you how to play blackjack.
Blackjack is a game that’s between the player and the dealer, so this is not like poker where you are playing against other people. During showdown, or the reveal of the cards, all f the players in the table will show their cards, and will compare how their cards fare against the dealer’s cards.
Playing Blackjack
The game is played when the dealer gives the players 2 cards each. Based on the two cards you receive, you will then decide if you will go hitting, standing, splitting or doubling down. But, if you get an Ace, or a jack (any of the 10 value cards), you instantly win and that win is called blackjack. This win give you more than the average wins (3 to 2).
So for example, you receive two cards. If you are not happy with what you got, you can “hit”, and the dealer will give you cards. You can say hit until you are happy, and then you say “stand”. But if you get over 21 from your hits, you are now “bust”. That means you lose.
So when all are standing, the dealer will then show the hole card (the card that is facing down. The dealer will then start hitting until he gets to 17 or gets more than 17. After this, the dealer, and the players will then start comparing who gets closest to 21.
