North Dakota Sports Betting Bill Moves to the Senate

The state House passed a North Dakota sports betting bill that would amend the state’s constitution. The Senate is currently tackling the bill. Named House Concurrent Resolution No. 3002, the bill calls for a constitutional amendment allowing sports wagering.

Players can bet on sports only at casinos and on tribal grounds. Also, they can’t play online slot machines.

On 3 January, the measure was initially introduced in the state House. Then, on 12 January, they held a second reading. Finally, they approved the bill with a vote of 49 to 44. Congress then sent the bill to the Senate.
