And these officials will spearhead the creation of a casino administration committee. This committee will maintain oversight of the IRs, and will manage casino regulations, ethical guidelines, as well as safety guidelines.
The approval for the future members of the committee will be on the Japanese Parliament. The timeline may likely be by this fall. An extraordinary legislative session could happen for this policy. In addition, relevant government ministries are also working preparing the requirements for the new committee.
So far, local governments have been preparing their bid to be selected as one of the three IR locations to be approved. These prefectures will then be partnering with gambling operators, who have also been busy preparing for their proposals and would-be partnerships.
Of course, the government wants to ensure that everything will run smoothly and will be regulated well, thus the extra care given to ensure that all of the policies will be enough to protect and promote the IR industry and Japanese government well.
