Hwang In-beom is adjusting well with the Whitecaps

Earlier this year, Hwang In-beom became the latest addition to the Vancouver Whitecaps football team. Despite several lucrative offers from other teams like Hamburg SV, he chose to start his football career abroad in Canada.  Today, Hwang In-beom is adjusting well with the Whitecaps even though the language barrier is still a problem.

Whitecaps coach, Marc Dos Santos only had good thing to say about during a recent interview. “One thing is his quality as a player, and what he could bring to the team”. Furthermore, he said that “the other thing is the quality he has as a person”.

Hwang In-beom is adjusting well with the WhitecapsThis is the first time Hwang is playing overseas and despite his initial nervousness, he says he is adjusting well.  This is because he said that “all the team members, the whole club, were super nice” to him.  In addition, he said that he likes Vancouver and its football culture as well as his club’s training facilities.

Football betting fans are happy that he is easily adjusting to his new playing environment.  Furthermore, they believe that this is due to his easy nature with his teammates.  However, he is still working on his English but it does not seem to really affect him on the field.  The only time he needs translation is for the more difficult coaching strategies during his training sessions.

Hwang said that the “coaching staff has been very nice to me”.  However, he thinks that the “language, and the culture will be challenging.  Furthermore he said that he is “studying English harder than soccer”.

An Impressive Professional Career as a Footballer

Hwang began his football career with the Daejeon Citizens at the age of 18.  In addition, he became the youngest scorer in the Deajeon Citizen history when he made his first goal against the Pohang Steelers. Furthermore, Hwang has been part of the South Korean National football team 12 times in his career.

His claim to fame was during the 2018 Asian Games where his assistance was integral to South Korea winning gold. Thanks to this achievement, he was discharged halfway through his mandatory military service.

On January 30, 2019, Hwang became the latest midfielder for the Vancouver Whitecaps. Even though no official release has been made about his agreement, football betting experts believe the sum to be around $1.8 million.

The Vancouver Whitecaps have been working on rebuilding their team now that Dos Santos is in charge.  His first move was to let 21 players go and get 14 new players in which include Hwang In-beom. According to Pay Per Head News, they will be playing their first regular season match this Saturday against Minnesota FC.
